Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with middle school students and a variety of learning needs
• Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to create engaging and adaptive lessons based on student strengths and needs
• Dedication to fostering positive relationships with students, families, and staff

Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and adjust instruction to meet the individual needs of students within a middle school setting
• Develop, write, and update IEPs in collaboration with colleagues and parents/guardians
• Provide both direct and consultative special education services
• Maintain accurate records on student performance and progress
• Promote a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
• Work effectively with general education teachers and support staff to ensure implementation of student accommodations
• Communicate regularly with families to share updates and strategies for student success
