The role spans two elementary schools, with half of each workday assigned to each site, providing variety and an expanded support network. Qualifications and Experience:
- Current teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher at the elementary level
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs tailored to diverse student needs
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside general education staff and support services
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Commitment to adaptive instruction and differentiated learning
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct and support a caseload of 15-20 elementary students across two schools
- Split time evenly—half days—between both locations each week
- Create, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Develop and modify lesson plans to accommodate varying learning abilities
- Collect and analyze student data to guide instructional strategies
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams regarding student progress
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as required
