Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Anderson, IN. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to support students in a self-contained classroom for students with mild disabilities while working alongside a collaborative educational team focused on student growth and success.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time
35 Hours per Week
Contract Dates: August 3, 2026 – June 7, 2027
Qualifications:
Active Indiana Special Education Teaching License required
Previous experience working in a self-contained special education classroom preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Knowledge of special education compliance, IEP development, and implementation
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Indiana state standards
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff
Implement evidence-based academic, behavioral, and functional interventions
Support students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional development
Collect and maintain accurate student progress data and documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
