I&E Technician (Industrial Electrician)
Location: Pasadena, TX 77507
Position Type: Contract to Full-time hire
Pay Rate: $38-$40 per hour, DOE
Integrity Trade Services is seeking an I&E Technician with experience in industrial electrical construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting within a manufacturing, chemical processing, batch process, refinery, or heavy industrial environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical fundamentals, hands-on installation experience, and the ability to troubleshoot industrial electrical systems with minimal supervision. Exposure to instrumentation and process controls is highly preferred, with a willingness to continue developing I&E skills.
Required Skills
Electrical Installation
- Conduit bending and installation (EMT, IMC, and Rigid)
- Cable tray installation
- Cable pulling, routing, and support
- Equipment terminations
- Motor and control wiring
- Panel and junction box wiring
- Installation of industrial electrical equipment and devices
- Diagnose motor failures and starting issues
- Troubleshoot overload trips, breaker trips, and fuse failures
- Identify phase loss, voltage imbalance, and control circuit faults
- Troubleshoot contactors, relays, overloads, transformers, CTs, disconnects, breakers, MCCs, and VFDs
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical equipment
- Analyze and resolve electrical system failures with minimal supervision
- Read and interpret electrical schematics
- Read one-line diagrams
- Read elementary and control drawings
- Read wiring diagrams and termination drawings
- Read panel layouts
- Follow cable schedules and conduit routing drawings
- Read and interpret P&IDs
- Read and interpret loop drawings
- Understand instrument tag numbers and loop numbers
- Familiarity with 4-20mA control loops and signal tracing
- Familiarity with pressure, temperature, level, and flow instrumentation
- Exposure to transmitters, control valves, solenoids, limit switches, and proximity switches
- Basic understanding of PLC and DCS-controlled processes
- Industrial manufacturing, chemical plant, refinery, batch process, or power generation experience
- Experience working around process equipment, pumps, motors, agitators, and control systems
- Strong troubleshooting mindset and root-cause analysis skills
- Mechanically inclined with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- Willingness to expand knowledge in instrumentation, controls, and process automation
