Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Proven experience working with students exhibiting severe behavioral needs, especially in elementary grades
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification or willingness to obtain it
- Strong classroom management abilities and the capacity to implement individualized behavior plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and related service providers
- Flexibility, patience, and a passion for meeting each child’s unique learning and behavioral needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and behavioral support to a group of four students in grades 1–3
- Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in partnership with other staff and families
- Develop proactive behavior interventions and track student progress closely
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment focused on growth and empowerment
