Special Education Teacher - Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Exciting opportunities are available for experienced Special Education Teachers ready to make a difference in the lives of students for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. Multiple contract positions are open across various settings and specialties, located near Eden Prairie, MN, with an August start and the school year extending through mid-June. These roles offer the chance to work in diverse environments—from supporting students with cognitive disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, autism, and specific learning disabilities to more intensive special education settings.

Positions available:

• Cognitive Disabilities (Setting 3)
• Emotional Behavioral Disorder (Settings 1 & 2)
• Autism Support (Settings 1, 2, & 3)
• Specific Learning Disability (Settings 1 & 2)
• Special Education (Setting 4, two positions)

Key Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota teaching license is required
• Demonstrated expertise teaching within special education
• Ability to foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Previous experience in the district is a plus, but candidates must have left in good standing
• Preference for in-person instruction; select hybrid roles may be considered

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction according to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and staff
• Support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students
• Communicate regularly with families and guardians
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Participate in school-based team meetings and staff development

Contract Details:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• School year commitment, August through June
