Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Position Type: Contract / Temporary

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and academic support for students with diverse learning needs in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will create an inclusive, student-centered classroom environment while implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that promote academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth.

Primary Duties:

Develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with students' IEP goals
Provide differentiated instruction to meet the unique academic, behavioral, and developmental needs of students
Create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success
Implement accommodations and modifications in accordance with IEPs and applicable regulations
Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation of academic and behavioral performance
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student achievement
Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions
Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and behavior management techniques
Foster students' social-emotional development, independence, and self-advocacy skills
Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
Valid state Special Education teaching certification or licensure
Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting preferred
Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
Familiarity with differentiated instruction and evidence-based teaching practices
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
