Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students across K-12 grades for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year as a Special Education Teacher. This full-time opportunity runs from 7:50 AM to 3:30 PM and involves working with a range of severe caseloads. Multiple positions are currently available, and interviews are underway for dedicated educators ready to make a meaningful difference.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher license
- Experience with K-12 student populations, preferably across various grade levels
- Skilled in managing and delivering instruction to students with significant or severe needs
- Strong commitment to individualized instruction and inclusion
- Outstanding communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and support staff
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet diverse learning needs
- Dedication to maintaining a safe, positive, and respectful classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct instruction aligned to students’ IEP goals, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support professionals
- Track student progress and maintain detailed, accurate records
- Facilitate communication with families, providing regular updates and resources as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional learning
