What You'll Do

• Define the long-term AI/ML technical vision, architecture, and strategy across multiple programs.

• Lead the design and development of advanced AI solutions, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, multimodal generative AI, computer vision, perception, and autonomous decision-making systems.

• Architect scalable, enterprise-level AI/ML platforms that integrate seamlessly with embedded systems, cloud, and on-premises infrastructure.

• Translate mission objectives into technical roadmaps, staffing strategies, data plans, and AI/ML frameworks.

• Establish AI/ML engineering standards, including MLOps, data management, model versioning, CI/CD pipelines, validation frameworks, and continuous model monitoring.

• Guide engineering trade studies, technical reviews, risk assessments, and architectural decisions across multiple development efforts.

• Lead the development of simulations, sensor fusion models, planning algorithms, and advanced AI prototypes.

• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including Transformers, RLHF, Edge AI, Explainable AI (XAI), GPU acceleration, and high-performance computing.

• Partner with program leadership to define technical resources, schedules, staffing, and execution strategies.

• Mentor engineers, foster technical excellence, and help build a world-class AI/ML engineering organization.

• Present technical strategies, demonstrations, and briefings to executives, customers, and external partners.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related STEM discipline.

• 14 years of AI/ML or related engineering experience

• Demonstrated expertise in:

  • AI/ML system architecture

  • Deep learning

  • Reinforcement learning

  • Generative AI models

  • Large-scale machine learning systems

• Proven experience architecting and deploying mission-critical or enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions.

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with C++, C#, and/or Java.

• Experience providing technical leadership across teams, programs, or organizations.

• Ability to define technical strategy, influence senior leadership, and drive organization-wide architectural decisions.

• Knowledge of aerospace and defense regulatory requirements, cybersecurity considerations, and secure AI deployment.

• Proven success mentoring engineers and developing technical talent.

• Ability to Obtain Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience developing AI solutions for autonomy, multimodal sensor fusion, or embedded real-time systems.

Pay Details: $90.15 per hour
