Special Education Teacher - Frankfort, IN

Empower middle school students and make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in a resource classroom setting on a full-time contract assignment. In this role, you’ll collaborate with educators and support staff to deliver individualized instruction and foster a supportive learning environment where every student can succeed.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid licensure or certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Previous experience working with middle school-aged students
• Strong understanding of instructional strategies and IEP processes
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet diverse student needs

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide resource support services to middle school students with varying exceptionalities
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Modify curriculum and create engaging learning activities tailored to student abilities and goals
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation of performance and behavior
• Communicate regularly with families, teachers, and support staff regarding student developments
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and faculty collaborations
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and positive classroom environment
