This is a key role with responsibility for ensuring high-quality financial management, accounting, reporting, governance, and compliance across the organisation.
\nWorking closely with senior leaders, you will provide expert financial advice, support strategic decision-making, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen financial performance and accountability.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Lead the annual budget-setting process, identifying and managing key financial risks. \n
- Provide high-quality financial reports, analysis, and assurance to senior leadership teams and governance boards. \n
- Lead the preparation of the Annual Statement of Accounts, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. \n
- Deliver financial modelling and business case appraisals to support investment decisions and organisational planning. \n
- Lead, develop, and motivate the Finance Team, supporting professional development, succession planning, and talent management. \n
- Oversee treasury management activities and ensure compliance with relevant strategies and professional standards. \n
- Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, systems, and controls. \n
About You
\nWe are looking for a qualified finance professional with:
\n- \n
- A recognised accountancy qualification (CCAB/CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). \n
- Significant senior-level finance experience. \n
- Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, accounting, and governance. \n
- Experience producing statutory accounts and managing external audit requirements. \n
- Excellent leadership and people management skills. \n
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities. \n
- The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. \n
