LHH is seeking a Mechanical Designer to develop custom industrial equipment and systems from concept through installation. This role is responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D designs, supporting project execution, and collaborating with customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Develop design solutions based on customer requirements and engineering specifications.
- Produce fabrication drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Review and maintain drawing revisions and engineering records.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, manufacturing, and sales teams.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to customer expectations.
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and contractors throughout project execution.
- Travel to customer sites as needed for installation and startup support.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design, fabrication processes, and engineering documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
