Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift Options: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to support inspection activities for medical device components and finished products. This role will perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet established engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting precision components, identifying defects, interpreting measurements, and using inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow documented procedures within a regulated manufacturing environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed visual inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, sub-assemblies, and finished medical device products
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment to verify product specifications and tolerances
  • Measure and verify critical dimensions against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
  • Identify and document defects including cosmetic issues, surface imperfections, dimensional deviations, damage, and assembly inconsistencies
  • Utilize magnification tools and inspection equipment to detect small defects or abnormalities
  • Review product quality against SOPs, work instructions, drawings, and inspection criteria
  • Complete inspection documentation including inspection reports, defect logs, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and quality records within the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Identify, segregate, and document non-conforming materials while supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Communicate inspection findings and quality concerns to Quality Engineering and Manufacturing teams
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying trends, recurring defects, and opportunities to improve inspection processes
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace while following GMP, ISO standards, and company safety procedures


Required Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years of experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience performing visual inspections and dimensional measurements of components or assemblies
  • Hands-on experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other precision measurement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and measurement requirements
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify small defects and inconsistencies
  • Experience following SOPs, work instructions, and quality documentation procedures
  • Ability to accurately record inspection results and maintain detailed quality records
