Cardiac Electrophysiologist

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough electrophysiological assessments and studies for patients experiencing cardiac arrhythmias.
• Provide care for patients before and after undergoing electrophysiological interventions.
• Execute advanced electrophysiology techniques, such as catheter ablation, implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators, and management of devices.
• Evaluate patients to determine their eligibility for various electrophysiological treatments and offer recommendations based on established guidelines.
• Manage and assess patients with complex arrhythmias and related cardiovascular issues in both outpatient and inpatient environments.
• Interpret diagnostic tests including electrocardiograms (ECG), Holter monitors, and event monitors.
• Create and implement personalized treatment strategies for individuals with cardiac arrhythmias.
• Collaborate with the cardiology team and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
• Participate in the training and education of medical students, residents, fellows, and nursing staff regarding cardiac electrophysiological disorders.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and remain updated on the latest advancements in electrophysiology through participation in professional organizations, conferences, and educational events.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and committees as required by the department and facility.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient interactions, procedures, and treatment plans in compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
• Assist in the development and refinement of clinical protocols and standards within the electrophysiology department.

Qualifications:

• Board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
• Board certified or eligible in electrophysiology.
• Possess a Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited medical or osteopathic school recognized by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Hold a current, unrestricted medical or surgical license in any U.S. State, Territory, or Commonwealth, including the District of Columbia.

Benefits and Compensation:

• Starting Salary: Potential base salary range of $320,000 - $390,000 annually.
