Job Overview

The Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care sector is rapidly growing, offering excellent opportunities and a flexible work-life balance, with no weekend or on-call duties!

We are looking for a Fee-For-Service/1099 Attending Physician/Medical Director for our facility in Siler City, NC. The work schedule is adaptable, requiring approximately 16-20 hours per week.

This position combines the roles of Attending Physician and Medical Director, focusing primarily on clinical responsibilities. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with experience in Long-Term Care.

Key Responsibilities

The Attending Physician collaborates with the Center Medical Director to ensure that clinical services align with our organization's mission. This involves working with designated Centers and management to oversee the implementation, utilization, and evaluation of our Clinical Programs and nationally recognized care standards.

The primary reporting line for the Attending Physician is to the Regional Medical Director. Additionally, the Attending Physician is accountable to both the Center Administrator and Medical Director due to their legal and regulatory obligations.

• Assume full responsibility for patients admitted under their care.
• Adhere to the credentialing process established by our organization.
• Visit assigned patients promptly, following our policies and procedures.
• Follow guidelines related to our initiatives.
• Comply with the Medical Staff's 'Rules and Regulations.'
• Abide by our organization's 'Corporate Integrity' policies.
• Conduct a thorough history and physical examination within 72 hours of patient admission.
• Provide high-quality care to all assigned patients.
• Collaborate closely with the Center Medical Director to enhance facility care.
• Serve as a positive role model for fellow physicians and staff.
• Communicate our mission effectively to the community and professional organizations.
• Assist the center in establishing relationships and coordinating care with local hospitals and relevant institutions.
• Exhibit care and compassion to ensure all customers receive exceptional service.
• Follow our Time Off and On Call policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compliance Responsibilities

Adhere to all applicable legal standards, policies, and procedures, including but not limited to the Compliance Process, Standard/Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act, and HIPAA regulations.

• Participate in mandatory orientation and training programs.
• Promptly report any concerns or suspected compliance issues to management or the Compliance Officer.
• Cooperate with monitoring, auditing, and investigative functions.

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. degree is required.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is preferred, with ongoing certification maintenance.
• Specialization in Geriatrics is a plus.

Benefits

Salary Range: USD $75,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 per year.
