West Town Bakery is continuing to grow and look for friendly and caring Delivery Drivers who enjoy being around people and working in a fast-paced environment with a supportive small team. West Town Bakery is a locally-owned bakery bringing quality breakfast pastries, breads and sweets to the Chicagoland area. It's a fun place to work and a great place to start a career, as well. A Delivery Driver will be responsible for ensuring all orders, assigned to their delivery route, arrive safely and complete to its destination within a given delivery time window. This an early morning role that starts at 3AM.
\nEssential Functions:
\n- \n
- Be familiar with the appearance of all product \n
- Quickly and accurately check that all items for all orders assigned to your delivery route are present prior to departure \n
- Load all product for your route into your vehicle in a logical manner to be able to efficiently collect and deliver items upon reaching the every destination \n
- Collect signature(s) from Guests upon delivery of items \n
- Clean and maintain company vehicle used upon completion of deliveries \n
- Box cakes on occasion just before leaving for delivery \n
Other Functions:

- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the wholesale department as directed by the department Manager or Coordinator \n
- Comply with health and food safety standards, restocking items and cleaning \n
Physical Functions:
\n- \n
- Ability to stand/walk/sit a minimum of 8 hours or as needed \n
- Must be able to exert well-paced and frequent mobility for periods of up to 8 hours or as needed \n
- Be able to lift up to 40 pounds frequently \n
- Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data \n
- Work in both warm and cool environments \n
- Must be able to tolerate potential allergens:Â peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish \n
Qualifications, Education and Behavior:
\n- \n
- At least 18 years old \n
- Have a minimum of 2 years driving experience \n
- Possess a valid IL Driver's License with a clean driving record \n
- Food Handler Certificate \n
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining safety standards and procedures \n
- Ability to properly operate a large vehicle, confidently \n
- Ability to work early morning hours and be on time (3AM/4AM start time) \n
- Ability to work consistent schedule at least 4 days per week \n
- Possess knowledge of Chicago area streets \n
- Available Saturdays \n
- Sundays off \n
