Manufacturing Machining Manager
Job Description
Lead and oversee all machining work center operations.
Manage production throughput and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
Improve machine utilization and equipment uptime.
Reduce scrap and rework through continuous process improvement.
Develop and implement standardized machining processes and best practices.
Supervise and support machining operators and production teams.
Monitor production performance using key operational metrics.
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to improve workflow.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production teams to achieve manufacturing goals.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Proven leadership experience managing multiple machining work centers.
Experience in aerospace, defense, medical manufacturing, or other precision machining industries.
Strong understanding of CNC machining operations and manufacturing processes.
Demonstrated success improving throughput, equipment utilization, uptime, scrap reduction, and process standardization.
Experience managing production metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
