Job Description
Our organization is currently in search of a dedicated full-time Psychiatrist to join our team in Fort Smith, AR. The ideal candidate will be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry. We are deeply committed to delivering exceptional medical care while serving and honoring the brave individuals who have served our country.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments and evaluations, as well as manage medication for veterans experiencing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to:
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Substance abuse
- Mood disorders
- Anxiety disorders
- Psychosis
- Other related conditions
- Provide education to hospital staff regarding the psychiatric needs of patients.
- Collaborate with the families of patients receiving psychiatric care.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of residency training that leads to board eligibility or certification.
- Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state.
The daily schedule will typically be Monday through Friday, with the possibility of nights, weekends, and on-call duties as needed.
