Our organization is in search of a skilled, fellowship-trained Interventional Neurologist to become part of our expanding practice in Des Moines, IA. This position presents a chance to enhance our IV neurology service line within a supportive team, backed by a robust referral network catering to a population of 1.4 million. Job Opportunity Overview- Become a member of a team comprising 12 Physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
- Participate in thrombectomy call coverage on a 1:3 rotation
- Handle over 1000 stroke cases annually
- Conduct more than 160 thrombectomies each year
- Contribute to the establishment of a new, dedicated Neuro IR Suite
- Receive onsite support from dedicated Neurohospitalists and Neurosurgery
- Engage in elective aneurysm cases
- Opportunities available for teaching residents and medical students
Our organization operates as an integrated multispecialty practice with a comprehensive statewide referral network. Our team of 12 neurologists and 4 advanced practice providers addresses a wide range of neurological conditions across various subspecialties. We are recognized as a Joint Commission-certified Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center, with opportunities for outreach and tele-neurology services. Our collaborative practice works closely with Neurosurgery, Neuropsychology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Pain Medicine. Additionally, we serve as faculty for MercyOne residents in Family Medicine, Psychiatry, and Internal Medicine, as well as for medical students from Des Moines University.
Attractive Compensation & Benefits- Base Salary: $710,456
- Recruitment incentive: $150,000
