Physician - Nocturnist - Chelsea/ Ann Arbor/ Livingston

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to become part of our Hospitalist Medicine Division as a Nocturnist, someone who is eager to contribute positively to the health of our community!

• Position Type: Full Time (1.0 FTE) Nights
• Schedule:
  • Each hospital is staffed overnight with teams consisting of 2-5 physicians and 1-2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), ensuring overlapping coverage.
  • Locations:
    • Ann Arbor: Three physicians provide coverage during the night.
    • Chelsea: Independent coverage is required.
    • Livingston: Independent coverage is also required.
• Location: Candidates can choose two from the following three sites:
  • Chelsea Hospital
  • Trinity Health Ann Arbor
  • Trinity Health Livingston

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Valid State of Michigan License
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Experience in Hospitalist Medicine is preferred

A typical night may involve:

• Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide direct inpatient care
• Monitoring and managing both acute and chronic medical conditions
• Responding to clinical changes and patient deteriorations
  • In Livingston: Overseeing Code Blues
• Ensuring accurate clinical documentation and compliance with coding and billing standards
• Handling up to 8 admissions per shift
• Supervising APPs regarding admissions and cross-coverage matters
