Job Description
The Operations Associate role will join a lean team and focus on ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This position supports operational efficiency and compliance while collaborating with internal teams to maintain seamless workflows. Client Details Independent broker-dealer located in Great Neck, NY (Long Island) Description Trade Settlement & Processing Verify and process equity trades after execution. Match trade details with counterparties. Monitor settlement through DTCC and clearing firms. Resolve trade breaks and settlement failures. Ensure accurate booking of transactions. Reconciliations Reconcile positions, cash balances, and trades. Investigate discrepancies between internal records and custodians/clearing brokers. Produce daily exception reports. Client & Account Support Open and maintain institutional client accounts. Process account documentation. Handle onboarding and AML/KYC record maintenance. Respond to operational inquiries from clients and counterparties. Regulatory & Compliance Support Maintain books and records required by FINRA and the SEC. Assist with regulatory reporting. Monitor trade reporting and record-keeping requirements. Support compliance audits and examinations. Stuart Frankel operates as a FINRA-member broker-dealer, making these functions important Corporate Actions Process stock splits, dividends, tender offers, and other corporate actions. Update client positions and records accordingly. Operational Risk Management Monitor failed trades and operational issues. Identify process improvements. Coordinate with traders, compliance, and clearing firms to reduce errors.
