The assignment will assess how an existing advanced vehicle architecture can be optimized, reused, and scaled across additional conventional and cab-over truck platforms. You will turn engineering findings into a practical strategic recommendation that reduces technical uncertainty, development complexity, cost, and time to market. The work will build on a proven vehicle-development baseline while defining the most suitable future vehicle specifications and integration approach. What you will do: Assess the application of an existing vehicle architecture to alternative conventional truck configurations. Identify reuse, carry-over, delta-part, and system-impact opportunities for a proposed base vehicle specification. Evaluate the effects of vehicle-configuration changes on packaging, wheelbase, fuel efficiency, payload, maneuverability, and relevant vehicle features. Define and compare longer-term base-vehicle configurations, then recommend a scalable architecture and implementation path. Assess the feasibility of applying the architecture to cab-over truck platforms, including platform suitability, auxiliary systems, structural implications, and feature impacts. Develop sensor-integration concepts and field-of-view assessments using established sensor locations where applicable. Produce traceable analyses, assumptions, risks, recommendations, and engineering-alignment material for leadership decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional platform, systems, and vehicle-engineering stakeholders while working independently within defined interfaces. What you will deliver: A conventional-platform impact assessment covering affected parts, systems, reuse assumptions, and vehicle-performance implications. A recommended future base-vehicle configuration and architecture strategy. A cab-over platform feasibility assessment covering carry-over opportunities, packaging, sensor installation, structural changes, and open engineering questions. Sensor field-of-view analysis and installation concepts. A final strategic report with a recommended path forward, key dependencies, risks, cost and complexity considerations, and time-to-market opportunities. What you bring: Significant experience in heavy-duty vehicle architecture, systems engineering, or whole-vehicle integration. Strong understanding of both conventional and cab-over truck platforms. Experience with architecture reuse, carry-over planning, feature-impact analysis, and delta-part assessment. Practical knowledge of vehicle packaging, sensor placement, field-of-view analysis, and structural integration. Ability to translate technical analysis into clear recommendations on cost, complexity, risk, and delivery timing. Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to create clear, evidence-based decision material. A relevant engineering degree or equivalent professional experience. Assignment details: This is a fixed-duration consulting assignment expected to run for approximately four months. The successful consultant will work with a cross-functional engineering network and provide an independent assessment before a potential future development program. Requirements: Requires 8 years or more relevant experience Lead the development work to a complete solution. Lead the roadmap development of the dedicated range of products. Assume overview of the product range (sale strategy, manufacturing strategy, platform strategy, service, and aftermarket strategy) in the product development and technical definition.
