Exciting Opportunity for a General Cardiologist
Our organization in Mason City, Iowa, is thrilled to present a fantastic opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible non-invasive General Cardiologist to become a part of our Cardiology department. We are a physician-owned, multi-specialty group dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare.
Opportunity Highlights- Become a member of a thriving practice consisting of 10 physicians, 10 fellows, and 7 nurse practitioners.
- Participate in a 1:6 call rotation, with the potential for additional call opportunities at $500 per day, and fellows will take the first call!
- Engage in a diverse practice that includes inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services.
- Offer a comprehensive range of cardiology services, encompassing non-invasive, invasive, interventional, and electrophysiology, in collaboration with cardiac and vascular surgery teams. Proficiency in transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and cardioversions is required.
- Benefit from a training opportunity within our Cardiology fellowship program.
- The fellowship program accommodates 3 residents annually and includes an interventional Cardiology Fellowship that accepts one fellow each year.
- Explore outreach opportunities at one of our 10 critical access hospitals within our 14-county network.
- Serve a primary service area of approximately 260,000 residents.
- Work at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital.
- Be part of a Level III Trauma Center featuring a 24/7 staffed emergency department, hospitalist services, helicopter access, and state-of-the-art catheterization labs.

- Attractive guaranteed base salary of $599,804 per year, plus production incentives (2-year guaranteed base).

- Board certified or board eligible; must achieve board certification within three years of eligibility.

- Must be a graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school.
- Demonstrated competency as a physician through completion of an appropriate residency program.
- Ability to obtain medical staff privileges at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Must hold or be eligible for a physician license in the State of Iowa, along with an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
