Compensation: $30.00-$33.00 Hourly
Our client, a well-established organization in Pasadena, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role will support the accurate and timely processing of both union and non-union payroll for a workforce of over 10,000 employees. The ideal candidate will have high-volume payroll experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

This role will support the accurate and timely processing of both union and non-union payroll for a workforce of over 10,000 employees. The ideal candidate will have high-volume payroll experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, processing, and reconciliation of weekly, bi-weekly, and special payroll cycles for 10,000+ employees.
- Support payroll operations for both union and non-union employee groups, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and company policies.
- Review and audit payroll data including timekeeping records, earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefit contributions.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and wage calculation issues.
- Process payroll adjustments, off-cycle payments, retroactive pay, garnishments, and other payroll transactions.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure accurate employee and payroll records.
- Assist with payroll audits and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information.
- Support payroll system updates, testing, and process improvement initiatives as needed.
- 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Experience supporting both union and non-union payroll strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll tax requirements.
- Strong understanding of timekeeping systems and payroll processes.
- Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
