Insight Global is seeking an experienced Solar Field Foreman to oversee the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and completion of commercial solar projects throughout the USA. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. Required to travel throughout the Northeast USA

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial solar installations ranging from 10 kW to 1 MW
  • Supervise both rooftop and ground-mounted PV projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, installers, and commissioning activities
  • Perform system commissioning and verify proper operation before project turnover
  • Troubleshoot electrical, communications, inverter, and system performance issues
  • Identify and resolve field challenges to keep projects on schedule
  • Ensure installations comply with engineering drawings, electrical codes, and safety standards
  • Complete punch lists and ensure projects are delivered to the customer with zero outstanding issues
  • Travel to project sites throughout the Southeastern United States as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial solar experience
  • Proven experience managing commercial solar field installations
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and system issues
  • Experience commissioning commercial PV systems
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • SolarEdge inverters
    • APS (APsystems) microinverters
    • CPS inverters
  • Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems, NEC requirements, and solar best practices
  • Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams and construction drawings
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout the USA

Preferred Qualifications

  • NABCEP certification (preferred but not required)
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Experience with commercial battery storage systems
  • Experience with utility interconnections and final inspections
