Senior Electrical Engineer£60 per hour - Outside IR35Remote with occasional site visits6 month initial contractKey responsibilities:Provide electrical engineering support across BESS and grid connection projectsReview contractor and consultant electrical designsSupport projects through FEED, detailed design, construction and commissioning phasesReview Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Protection studies, Earthing designs, HV equipment specificationsSupport grid connection activities with DNOs, National Grid, ICPs and OEMsReview load flow, fault level and protection coordination studiesProvide technical assurance throughout project deliverySupport procurement activities including technical bid evaluationsAssist with commissioning, energisation and handover activitiesEnsure compliance with UK Grid Code, G99 and relevant IEC/BS standardsEssential requirements:Degree qualified Electrical Engineer / Power Systems EngineerStrong HV electrical engineering backgroundExperience within BESS, renewable energy, power generation or HV infrastructure projectsExperience with HV systems (11kV-132kV), substations, transformers, switchgear and protection systemsExperience reviewing electrical designs and contractor documentationKnowledge of UK grid connections and G99 requirementsExperience working with DNOs, National Grid or ICPsDesirable:BESS project experienceExperience providing technical assurance or design review on behalf of an asset owner/developerExperience reviewing EPC contractor designs and managing electrical engineering interfacesExperience with power system modelling software such as ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or PSCADSCADA/substation automation knowledgeCommissioning and energisation experienceCEng or working towards chartershipTPBN1_UKTJ
