Cost Consultant | SC-Cleared | £500 a day Inside IR35 | 2 x per week in Portsmouth | Long-term projectPigment is a change and transformation consultancy. We partner with other consultancies, government departments, and private sector organisations to deliver deliver long-term and sustainable change across the public sector.Due to continued success across our Defence portfolio, we are expanding our team that is currently delivering multiple large-scale defence infrastructure upgrade and transformation programmes. As such, we are seeking an experienced and confident Cost Consultant to join our team, who will be responsible for supporting finance processes, maintaining and updating the cost forecast of the portfolio, and providing easy-to-understand visuals for programme reviews & monthly reports.As well as the above, our consultant will be:Supporting with ad-hoc deliverables, such as writing finance sections of business casesInvolved in verification and Validation support for other cost models being referenced within business casesRegularly working closely with delivery and client teamsRequired experience and skills:Strong Cost Modelling and Cost Estimating experienceProven history with client interaction and stakeholder managementKnowledge of V&V Cost Models (templates and guidance for specific practices will be provided, but our consultant must have at least basic knowledge)Report writingBusiness case writingPrevious experience working within Defence is essentialDue to project sensitivities, our consultant must have active and valid SC-Level Clearance.If you're a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with others and you're passionate about ensuring transformation programmes deliver genuine value to the United Kingdom, we'd love to hear from you.Why Pigment?You'll work across high impact, complex programmes where your work matters.
