Nanny / Housekeeper for Friendly Family — Arthur, 2½ — North Leeds (Scarcroft) LS14Our client is a warm, busy family in North Leeds / LS14 looking for a kind, reliable and proactive nanny-housekeeper to help care for their son, Arthur, who is 2½, and to help keep family life running smoothly.This is a long-term role for someone who genuinely enjoys children, is calm and practical, and is equally happy helping with toddler routines, nursery runs, meals, laundry, tidying and general household organisation.They have previously tried agencies, but are now looking to recruit directly so they can find the right person for their family.The role Arthur is our client's main priority. They are looking for someone warm, trustworthy and confident with toddlers, who can support his routine, development and day-to-day care.The role will be a mixture of childcare and household support. They will not expect you to clean or do heavy housekeeping while you are sole-charge caring for Arthur. When Arthur is at nursery, asleep, or with someone, they would like help keeping the house organised and running well.Location North Leeds / LS14.You must be able to travel here reliably. A driver would be ideal, especially for nursery runs, errands and local activities.Hours Full-time: Monday to Friday, around 35-45 hours per week or Part-time: 3-4 days per week, around 20-30 hoursStart date: ASAP / flexiblePay £16-£18 gross per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and agreed duties.This will be a proper employed role through payroll, with a written contract, paid holiday and pension where applicable.Childcare duties Duties may include:Caring for Arthur in a safe, loving and calm wayNursery/School drop-offs and pick-upsPreparing simple healthy meals and snacks for ArthurTaking Arthur to the park, classes, playgroups or local activitiesSupporting naps, routines, bath time and bedtime when neededPlanning age-appropriate play and activitiesKeeping Arthur's bedroom, clothes, toys and play areas clean and organisedChildren's laundryOccasional babysitting by prior agreementHousekeeping / household duties When Arthur is at nursery, asleep, or with someone, our client would like help with:General tidying and keeping the house organisedFamily laundry, folding and putting away clothesLoading and unloading the dishwasherKeeping the kitchen and family areas clean and tidyChanging children's beddingLight cleaningPutting away supermarket deliveriesKeeping track of household basics and letting us know what is running lowSimple family meal prep if you are comfortable with thisOccasional errands, parcel returns or dry-cleaning collectionThey are looking for someone practical and proactive who notices what needs doing and is happy to help keep family life calm and organised.About you They are looking for someone who is:Kind, calm and genuinely good with toddlersReliable, punctual and trustworthyOrganised and proactiveComfortable working in a private family homeHappy with a mixed nanny-housekeeper roleConfident with toddler routines, meals and playAble to use initiative but also happy to follow their family routinesComfortable around a friendly dog, if neededLooking for a long-term positionEssential requirements Previous nanny, nursery, childcare, teaching assistant, housekeeper or family assistant experienceExperience with toddlers or young childrenEnhanced DBS check, ideally on the update service, or willingness to obtain onePaediatric first aid, or willingness to obtain itRight to work in the UKTwo recent, checkable referencesFluent or strong EnglishNon-smokerDriver preferred; essential if agreed nursery runs require drivingWhat they offer A respectful, friendly family environmentA long-term role with clear expectationsProper payroll, payslips and contractPaid holidayAgreed duties, not vague “anything and everything”A role where you can become a trusted part of Arthur's routine and their family lifeTPBN1_UKTJ
