The RoleThis role involves the welding of stainless steel Machinery. You will be expected to apply your experience and knowledge to deliver work to the highest standards. Working alongside the fabricating team, you will manage your workload effectively under the direction of the Works Manager.??? What Youll Be DoingYoull play a key role in producing high-quality bespoke equipment, including:Welding stainless steel fabrications for the food, confectionery, and pharmaceutical industriesCarrying out TIG, MIG, and MMA welding to a high standardWorking to coded welding standards across various materials and weld joint typesPerforming full penetration welds and other advanced welding techniquesReading and interpreting detailed engineering drawingsWelding sheet metal fabrications in line with specifications and required tolerancesOrganising work efficiently, particularly during tacking and welding stagesConducting quality inspections at key stages of the fabrication processWorking in tandem with Sheet Metal Workers to coordinate welding activitiesCorrect clamping of work pieces to reduce distortion during weldingResponsibility for the quality and finish of your workCompleting tasks efficiently within allocated production hoursMaintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environmentMonitoring and controlling your work area in line with health & safety standards?? What Were Looking For?? Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience?? Fully competent in TIG, MIG, and MMA welding?? Experience working to coded welding standards (desirable)?? Ability to read engineering drawings?? Experience working to high standards?? Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented mindset?? Personal AttributesStrong communication and teamwork skillsProactive with a can-do attitudeQuick to learn internal processes and proceduresWilling to support colleagues and share best practicesHigh attention to detail and pride in workmanshipStrong commitment to health & safety for yourself and others??
