Delivering key projects spanning the whole reward team to support effective delivery of the full Centrica Reward plan ensuring that our Reward arrangements are competitive, fair, simple and sustainable whilst enabling the business units to meet their strategic goals. Salary: Competitive + car allowance + bonus + private healthcare + generous company benefitsLocation: UK flexible with travel as requiredFlexible work arrangements available, including part-time optionsThis is a 12 month secondment / Fixed Term Contractor positionAccountabilities Accountable for a variety of Reward projects relating to critical reward programmes, including benchmarking, market insight, business unit reward reviews, incentive design and policy changesProvide direction and guidance to Centrica Energy Trading on annual cyclical programmes such as bonus, base pay reviews and collective pay agreementsPartner with the business to understand business challenges in relation to reward frameworksTake accountability for defining scope and securing the right resources for key projectsEnsure relevant business and HR stakeholders are identified and engagedInfluencing and guiding stakeholders to a solution with the wider Centrica reward strategy/principles in mind and the ability to join the dots across the businessResponsible for end to end implementation of key projects and initiativesFully own key reward items within the broader HR plan ensuring wider Reward team are engaged as appropriateAct as escalation point for complex reward queriesSufficient awareness to proactively identify areas of concern or latest trends externally and recommend solutions and/or actionsEnsuring that the Centrica Energy Trading reward offering is underpinned with the appropriate governance, policies and processes, which are transparent and equitable and in-line with local country laws and regulatory requirements.Competencies Analytical mindset, with the ability to extract insight from data & explain these to audiences simply and succinctlyStrong influencing, presenting and communication skillsStrong intellectual rigour and an appetite for professional developmentCommercial acumen and broad business understandingTrack record of building successful, collaborative relationships across all levels and business functionsA skilful team player with the ability to network effectively up, down and across the organisationEffective project management decision making skillsIntermediate IT Skills (inc MS office, excel and Workday)Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience Experience of working in the Financial Services or Trading industry is essentialKnowledge and experience of reward practices including job evaluations, market data, salary structures, terms & conditions, incentive design and benefitsProven experience of owning, leading and delivering significant change in an HR/Reward contextExperience of developing plans to deliver projects and managing to completionAn understanding of how to review and develop ideas/approaches to solve reward related issuesExperience of partnering within a complex business environmentExperience of working in a matrix environmentExperience of working in a unionised environment desirableGraduate Level or equivalent experienceCIPD qualification desirableWhy should you apply?We're not a perfect place - but we're a people place.
