ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEERJob Title – Electrical Maintenance EngineerLocation – WiganSalary – £46,855 – £49,855Shift – 3 Shift Pattern (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am)Job Role of the Electrical Maintenance EngineerA fantastic opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated, fast-paced manufacturing site. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large-scale production environment featuring one of the most advanced corrugation operations in Europe.The successful engineer will be working within a high-speed production area, responsible for maintaining and improving machinery that produces up to 26,000 units per hour. This is a dynamic role offering a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and involvement in continuous improvement and project work.You will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency across a range of automated machinery in a lean manufacturing environment.Sector – Industrial ManufacturingKey ResponsibilitiesElectrical fault finding on high-speed production machineryPlanned preventative and reactive maintenanceWorking with systems including sensors, motors, drives, and control panelsDiagnosing faults across single-phase and three-phase (415V) systemsWorking with AC/DC systems, inverters, and PLCs (Siemens)Reading and interpreting engineering drawingsUsing CMMS systems (Maximo)Supporting installations, upgrades, and project workIdentifying root causes and contributing to continuous improvement initiativesSector – Factory MaintenanceNon-Negotiable RequirementsElectrical maintenance experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environmentRequirements for the Electrical Maintenance EngineerHands-on electrical fault-finding experienceRecognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)Experience working in industrial/manufacturing environmentsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills and proactive mindsetDesirable RequirementsExperience with Siemens PLCs (fault finding)Background in high-speed or automated manufacturingContinuous improvement experienceThe Electrical Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:Working for a market-leading manufacturing businessCompetitive salary with regular overtime opportunitiesOvertime rates:Midweek – 1.5xSaturday – 1.5xSunday & Bank Holidays – 2xPension (4.5% matched contribution)Death in service (4x salary)Sick pay after 6 months25 days holiday + additional allowancesStrong team culture and supportive environmentTraining, development, and project exposureAdditional InformationThis role would suit a proactive, hands-on engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in identifying root causes and driving improvements.
