We're recruiting an experienced Weekend Team Coordinator who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Chartwells on a part time basis, contracted to 17 hours per week.Weekend Team CoordinatorTonbridge School Catering DepartmentWe're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Weekend Team Coordinator to join our Catering Department at Tonbridge School.If you're passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, enjoy leading and developing teams, and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment, we'd love to hear from you.As our Weekend Team Coordinator, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of catering operations across the School campus during weekends. You'll lead by example, coordinate the weekend catering team, and ensure our pupils, staff and visitors receive an outstanding dining experience every time.What you'll be doingLeading and motivating the weekend catering team to deliver exceptional food and customer service.Ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of catering services across the entire School campus.Coordinating staffing levels and allocating duties to meet operational requirements.Supporting hospitality events, sporting fixtures and special functions.Responding confidently to operational challenges, making decisions and resolving issues quickly to maintain service standards.Working closely with the Catering Management Team to achieve operational objectives and continuously improve service delivery.Supporting, coaching and developing team members to help them succeed in their roles.Maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation and customer care.Implementing and monitoring Food Safety, Health & Safety and hygiene procedures to ensure compliance.Representing Tonbridge School Catering in a professional manner and maintaining a positive customer experience.Our ideal Weekend Team Coordinator will:Be passionate about delivering outstanding food and exceptional customer service.Have previous experience in catering, hospitality or food service, including experience supervising or leading a team.Be an organised, confident and proactive leader who enjoys working in a busy environment.Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrate strong organisational, planning and time management skills.Be a confident problem solver, able to make decisions and remain calm under pressure.Have a flexible, hands-on approach and be willing to support the team wherever needed.Have a good understanding of Food Safety, Health & Safety and hygiene standards.Hold a full, clean UK driving licence.A Food Safety qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.What we offerIn return, you'll join a friendly and supportive Catering Department within one of the UK's leading independent schools.
