Production SupervisorAre you an experienced Production professional with strong leadership skills, ready to supervise a team in a cnc machining environment and drive safety, quality, delivery, and performance in a precision engineering environment?This Production Supervisor role is based in Lincoln . You will lead the Production team (across shifts, approx. 10 people) in a CNC machining environment, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement while acting as a key point of escalation and support for the wider Production department.As the Production Supervisor , your responsibilities will include:Providing day-to-day leadership and supervision of the Production team across shifts, including setting the team up for the day with clear briefings, prioritisation of work, and ensuring goals and targets are achieved throughout the shiftMonitoring performance in real time, addressing issues promptly, and driving safety, quality, delivery, and continual improvementEnsuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS)Collaborating closely with Quality, Engineering, and other Production teams to troubleshoot issues, resolve machining or process concerns, and implement corrective actionsOverseeing CNC machining operations, supporting First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements, and ensuring adherence to industry standards such as AS9100Driving 5S standards and workplace organisation on the shop floorContributing to continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as 8D, Kaizen, and other lean manufacturing methodologiesActing as a reliable point of contact for other departments and supporting the Production Manager with departmental initiativesProviding feedback, coaching, and development support to team membersAs the Production Supervisor you will bring:EssentialProven experience leading or supervising production/quality teams in a CNC machining environment within a precision engineering or similarly regulated industry (e.g. aerospace)Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T principlesNatural leadership aptitude with excellent communication, people management, and teamwork skillsStrong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving ability, and a professional approachExperience working within formal quality and production management systemsDesirablePrevious supervisory or team leader experience in precision machiningRelevant management or health & safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH, ACAS, CMI)Engineering qualifications (e.g. Apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent)Familiarity with metrology, SPC, and continuous improvement methodologiesShift Patterns (Overtime available when required)Day Shift (no premium): MonThu 07:3016:00 | Fri 07:3012:30A Shift (no premium): MonThu 06:0013:35 | Fri 06:0012:45B Shift (20% premium on Friday): MonThu 13:2521:05 | Fri 12:3519:00Benefits25 days holiday + bank holidaysCompany pension (5% employer contribution)Subsidised health care & personal accident planDeath in service schemeUniform, bike to work scheme, employee suggestion schemeSubsidised canteen & on-site parkingLong service award & employee referral schemeThis Production Supervisor position offers the opportunity to take the next step in your career, leading a dedicated team in a stable, well-established manufacturing site that values technical excellence, process discipline, and people leadership.
