You'll take ownership of manufacturing processes within your designated area, leading new product introductions, capital investment projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity and operational performance.Working Hours & BenefitsWorking HoursMonday Thursday: 8:30am 5:00pmFriday: 8:30am 1:30pmBenefits include:25 days holiday plus bank holidaysStakeholder Pension Scheme (up to 10% employer contribution)Life Assurance (4x salary)Permanent Health Insurance (PHI)Subsidised canteenDiscounted gym membershipEmployee Assistance ProgrammeDiscounts across hundreds of UK retailersFree onsite parkingKey ResponsibilitiesLead new product and variant introductions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standardsDevelop and optimise manufacturing processes, equipment and factory layoutsManage capital investment projects from concept through to implementationDrive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, PDCA and structured problem-solving techniquesImprove production capacity, cycle times, OEE, quality and process capabilityReduce scrap, rework and manufacturing wasteSupport production teams in resolving technical issues and implementing long-term solutionsWork collaboratively with Design, Quality, Production and Purchasing teamsManage engineering and process changes in line with company proceduresDevelop and maintain manufacturing documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans and Operator InstructionsEssential Experience & QualificationsMinimum of two years' Production or Manufacturing Engineering experience within an automotive Tier 1 or FMCG manufacturing environmentExperience delivering New Product Introduction (NPI) projectsStrong understanding of APQP, PFMEA, Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control methodologiesKnowledge of manufacturing process design, cell layout and material flow principlesExperience using Lean Manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methodologiesProject management experience with multiple engineering projectsKnowledge of CAD software, ideally AutoCADDegree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline (preferred)Required SkillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilityStrong project management and organisational skillsEffective communication and stakeholder managementAbility to influence and work collaboratively across cross-functional teamsContinuous improvement mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business improvementsAbility to quickly learn new technologies and manufacturing processesIf you're looking for an opportunity to work on exciting manufacturing projects, introduce new technologies and play a key role in shaping the future of production within a world-class engineering organisation, we'd love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
