Junior Electronics EngineerLocation: St Ives, CornwallSalar: £28,000 - £35,000 DOEThe RoleWe're looking for a Junior Electronics Engineer to join our clients engineering team in their beautiful, beachside location near St Ives. You will be working on rugged, real-world products used in demanding industrial environments - our client is well known in their sector and work with many household names across Europe and the USA.You'll receive a detailed, hands-on handover from an experienced Electronics Engineer to build a thorough working understanding of the systems already in place - the focus is on troubleshooting, maintaining, and quality-controlling what's been built, rather than redesigning from scratch.Key Skills & ExperienceYou'll ideally have experience in, or a good understanding of:Digital and analogue electronics - this is a digital system with strongly analogue components, so real comfort with analogue nuances mattersCore fundamentals including Ohm's Law and operational amplifiers (op-amps)PCB design and layoutSerial communications including I2C, SPI and UARTMicrochip PIC development experience (a bonus, not essential)Radio communications - localised, closed-loop radio rather than IoT; familiarity with LoRa is helpful but not essentialAbout YouA degree in Electronic EngineeringHands-on electronics experience - hobbyist-level exposure prior to university is a genuine plusA degree plus a couple of years' industry experience (including small business experience) would strengthen your applicationStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to learnComfortable working on-site full time; please note there's no relocation budget for this role, though candidates have successfully relocated for this position beforeIf you're a motivated junior engineer with a genuine grounding in electronics and an interest in real-world, rugged product design, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today with an up-to-date CVTPBN1_UKTJ
