Multi Trade Operative

We are currently looking for a Multi Trade Operative to work across the Wigan area for a well-established social housing contractor.This opportunity is with an established contractor delivering high-volume responsive repairs and maintenance works within occupied social housing properties. Were looking for experienced Multi-Trade Operatives who are looking for a long-term opportunity.Id be keen to speak to anyone with experience working within social housing repairs, property maintenance, refurbishment or reactive maintenance, whether youve previously worked as a Plumber Multi Trade, Carpenter Multi Trade, Maintenance Operative, Repairs Operative, Plumber, Carpenter or in a similar role.The more trades you can cover, the better candidates with additional skills such as plastering and tiling will be highly desirable.As a Multi Trade Operative, you will be:Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance works within occupied social housing propertiesCompleting plumbing repairs, bathroom repairs and general multi-trade worksUndertaking additional trades including patch plastering, tiling, carpentry and decorating where skilledDiagnosing faults and completing repairs to a high standard with a right-first-time approachWorking professionally within tenants homes and providing excellent customer serviceManaging your own workload and completing jobs efficiently throughout the dayEnsuring company vehicles, tools and equipment are used responsiblyCompleting accurate electronic paperwork and following company health and safety proceduresId love to speak to anyone who has:Proven experience working within social housing repairs, property maintenance or a similar environmentStrong plumbing skills and a broad multi-trade backgroundExperience in additional trades such as plastering, tiling, carpentry or decoratingThe ability to work independently and complete high-quality workmanshipA professional, reliable and customer-focused approachA full UK driving licenceThe ability to pass a DBS check if required in the future (a DBS is not required at this stage)No formal trade qualifications or tickets are required practical experience is keyThis Multi Trade Operative role is offering the following benefits:£35,000 per annumCompany van and fuel card28 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:30pmImmediate start availableLong-term workload with an established contractorFlexible approach to working hoursExcellent progression opportunities, with the company promoting internally rather than recruiting external supervisorsLocation & TravelThe role covers Ashton-in-Makerfield, Billinge, Hindley, Wigan and the surrounding areas.
