Corporate Tax Manager - Advisory

PARALLEL RECRUITMENT LTD
Manchester, ENG, GB Full Time

Job Description

Corporate Tax Manager – Advisory

\n

£60,000–£70,000

\n

OTE £90,000 - £100,000

\n

Fully Remote

\n

\n

Our client is a high-growth tax and strategic advisory firm supporting entrepreneurs, privately owned businesses and ambitious companies across the UK and internationally.

\n

\n

The firm has grown significantly in recent years by combining high-level technical expertise with a modern, commercially focused approach to corporate tax advice.

\n

\n

As the business continues to scale, this is a key senior appointment for an experienced corporate tax professional who wants greater influence, genuine autonomy and the opportunity to help shape the future of an advisory-led tax function.

\n

\n

This is not a traditional, compliance-heavy accountancy practice. You will be joining an ambitious, founder-led advisory business with a high-calibre client base, a strong market profile and clear plans for continued growth.

\n

\n

The Role

\n

\n

You will work closely with the senior leadership team, taking responsibility for complex corporate tax advisory projects while helping to develop the firm’s wider corporate tax offering.

\n

\n

The client base includes founder-led businesses, owner-managed companies, scaling organisations and established privately owned groups. These are clients who require proactive, commercially intelligent advice rather than routine compliance support.

\n

\n

Many are growing rapidly, restructuring their operations, preparing for investment or sale, completing acquisitions, expanding internationally or dealing with increasingly complex corporate tax matters.

\n

\n

You will lead advisory projects, manage senior client relationships and provide clear, technically robust advice that considers both the immediate tax position and the client’s wider commercial objectives.

\n

\n

Typical responsibilities will include:

\n

\n
    \n
  • Leading complex corporate tax advisory engagements for owner-managed businesses, privately owned groups and entrepreneurial companies
  • \n
  • Advising on corporate restructures, reorganisations, demergers and group simplification projects
  • \n
  • Supporting clients through acquisitions, disposals, investments and other corporate transactions
  • \n
  • Advising on tax-efficient growth strategies, succession planning and business exits
  • \n
  • Providing advice on corporation tax matters, capital allowances, loss utilisation and group relief
  • \n
  • Supporting businesses expanding or operating internationally
  • \n
  • Identifying and advising on relevant tax reliefs and incentives
  • \n
  • Acting as a trusted corporate tax adviser to business owners, directors and senior leadership teams
  • \n
  • Reviewing technical work and helping to develop less experienced members of the tax team
  • \n
  • Working with senior leadership to shape and grow the corporate tax advisory function
  • \n
  • Identifying opportunities to improve technical standards, service delivery and client outcomes
  • \n
\n

\n

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

\n

\n

This role offers access to the quality of work, client complexity and technical challenge often associated with larger firms, but within a more agile, entrepreneurial and genuinely influential environment.

\n

\n

You will not be one of many senior tax professionals within a large corporate structure. You will be a central figure in the firm’s next phase of growth, with visibility across the business and the opportunity to help build a corporate tax function of long-term value.

\n

\n

The firm has achieved significant year-on-year growth and continues to attract increasingly complex advisory projects. There is a clear strategy for the future, continued investment in technology and infrastructure, and a strong appetite to keep raising standards across the business.

\n

\n

For the right person, there is also the potential to benefit from extensive bonus incentives and longer-term equity participation.

\n

\n

Your Profile

\n

\n

This is a senior appointment, so it is essential that you already have a proven background in corporate tax advisory.

\n

\n

Ideally, you will have:

\n

\n
    \n
  • CTA, ACA, ACCA or CA qualification
  • \n
  • Strong experience within corporate tax advisory
  • \n
  • Experience advising owner-managed businesses, privately owned groups or entrepreneurial companies
  • \n
  • The ability to lead complex advisory conversations and explain technical matters clearly
  • \n
  • Experience advising on corporate restructures, transactions, reorganisations or business disposals
  • \n
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to apply tax legislation within commercial scenarios
  • \n
  • Experience reviewing complex corporate tax work
  • \n
  • International tax exposure would be advantageous
  • \n
  • The confidence to work closely with business owners, directors and senior stakeholders
  • \n
  • An interest in helping to develop and grow a corporate tax advisory function
  • \n
\n

\n

This role would suit an experienced Senior Corporate Tax Manager, Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Corporate Tax Advisor who wants to move into a more entrepreneurial, advisory-led environment offering genuine influence and long-term opportunity.
