Geotechnical Section Engineer

Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM UK & Ireland require a Geotechnical or Section Geotechnical Engineer with significant experience to join the Ground Engineering business unit. As a Geotechnical or Section Geotechnical Engineer you will be planning and leading the safe, technically excellent delivery of geotechnical works on a varying range of projects across the South of the UK. You will be based at either our Godstone or Nailsea site offices (work in other areas may be required from time to time). This is predominately a site-based role that will require travel and living away from home as required.Making Possible As Geotechnical /Section Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:Maintain open lines of communication with the Geotechnical team regarding the progress of the project and relevant developmentsWriting and maintaining of HSQE documentationSupervision & management of the safe, efficient delivery of geotechnical works to an excellent technical standardDevelop and maintain a strong relationship with the Client, the supply chain and third partiesMaintain high levels of personal safety and environmental standards, implementing safe systems of work on siteAccurate record keeping for site activities, and short term forecasting of resources on a project basisAwareness of project and business goals and able to relay these to the project team to increase workforce engagement with businessWhat do you bring to the role? Required Experience in delivering geotechnical works, competence at management and supervision of project teams, documentation writing, communication skills both written and verbal at all levels Preferred RoGEP, Professional Membership, CSCS card, SMSTS, First Aid at Work, PTSWhats in it for you?
