As part of a well-established international group with operations across the UK, USA and the Far East, the company offers excellent long-term career prospects, technical variety and job security.Working within a collaborative engineering team, you will take ownership of multiple product development projects, combining mechanical design, project engineering and customer liaison to deliver innovative engineered solutions.Why Apply?£40,000 - £45,000 salaryAnnual company bonusCompany pension25 days holiday plus Bank HolidaysModern engineering and manufacturing facilitiesStable, growing business with international backingGenuine long-term career developmentVaried engineering projects with real ownershipOpportunity to work from early-stage design through to manufactureThe Role:As a Project Design Engineer, you will manage multiple engineering design projects from initial concept through to production, ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget and to the required technical standards.Responsibilities include:Managing mechanical design and product development projects from concept through to manufacture.Producing detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings using Creo.Designing new products and developing improvements to existing product ranges.Building and evaluating prototypes to validate product performance.Using in-house testing facilities to prove concepts and support product development.Working closely with customers to understand technical requirements and develop effective engineering solutions.Collaborating with manufacturing, production, purchasing and quality teams to ensure successful product introduction.Supporting engineering change activities and continuous product improvement.Managing several concurrent projects while maintaining quality, cost and delivery objectives.The Person:You could currently be working as a:Project Design EngineerMechanical Design EngineerDesign EngineerProduct Design EngineerDevelopment EngineerProject EngineerTo be successful you will ideally have:Experience within a mechanical design, product development or project engineering environment.Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and engineering design principles.Experience producing 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings.Experience using Creo would be advantageous; however, candidates with SolidWorks, Inventor or similar 3D CAD software are encouraged to apply.The ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.A formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.Commutable From:Leicester, Loughborough, Coalville, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Hinckley, Derby, Burton upon Trent, Swadlincote, Tamworth, Long Eaton, Lutterworth, Nuneaton and surrounding areas.TPBN1_UKTJ
