JobPurpose:ElectricalEngineerTheElectricalEngineerwillprovidetechnicalexpertise,design,maintenanceoversight,compliancesupportandoverseeelectricalworkstoelectricalsystemsacrosstheorganisation'spropertyportfolio.Thepostholderwillleadandsupportthedevelopment,design,governanceanddeliveryofsafe,compliant,low-carbonandcost-effectiveM&EsolutionsacrosstheCouncil'smanagedestate,ensuringalignmentwiththeCouncil'sclimatecommitments,statutoryobligations,andbestpracticeengineeringstandards.Therolewillcontributetowardsthecouncil'sambitionsforthedesignofelectricalsystemsthatarelowcarbon.ThepostholderwillbeinvolvedinmodernisingtheelectricalsystemstobeenvironmentallyfriendlyandalignedwiththeLondonBoroughofBarnetlowcarboninitiatives.Therolewillalsohaveresponsibilityforexternalcontractorsandpartners.2.Keyaccountabilities:ElectricalEngineerToassist,advise,support,designandreviewelectricalengineeringsolutionsforthelocalauthority'smanagedestate.Wherethepostholderisappropriatelyqualifiedandexperienced,thismayincludeadvice,design,contractadministrationandsupportofmechanicalengineeringinadditiontoelectricalengineering.SupportandadvisetheLocalAuthorityoncompliance,bestpracticeandstatutorycomplianceofelectricalcomponents.Toworkwithinamulti-disciplinarytechnicalteamastheelectricalengineersupportingtheteam,ensuringdeadlinesaremetinlinewithrealisticexpectationsindeliveringelectricaldesign,defectdiagnosisreports,fullspecificationofworks/scheduleofworks,feasibilitystudies,conditionsurveys,budgetcosts,ContractTocarryoutdesignworksandfeasibilityToproduce,manageanddesignofCADDrawingsfordesignToleadandactincapacityofcontractadministrator(whereappointed)undertakingregularsiteinspectionsandreports.Todevelopandreviewdetailedreports,specificationsandToreviewandadviseontechnicalToliaisewiththeclientandotherteammemberstoensuredeliverablesaremetandvalueformoneyisprovided.ToreviewcontractualprogressinlinewithclientobjectivesandKPI's.AttendandbeavailabletobewithteammembersonTobuildandmanagepositiverelationshipswithallstakeholdersincludingelectedMembers,ThirdSectororganisations,publicsectorpartners,tenants,developers,otherlandownersandclientdepartments.ToensurethatalldutiesandresponsibilitiesareperformedinaccordancewiththeCouncil'sPoliciesandProceduresincludingFinancialRegulations,StandingOrders,PersonnelPoliciesandProceduresetc.TokeepuptodateindevelopmentsandbestpracticeinElectricalEngineeringandconstruction,managementandleadershipandpublicsectorToundertakeanyothertasks,dutiesandresponsibilitiesasdirectedcommensuratewiththegradeandroleofthepost.TPBN1_UKTJ
