Job Description

The EPR Account Manager (Global) plays a key role in the offering of Valpaks International & Environmental Compliance Service. The key responsibility within this role is the account management of Valpak customers and their compliance overseas; this involves core activities such as advising on obligations under environmental legislation overseas, data manipulation and liaising with international compliance schemes in order to manage the customers compliance in that country. The International Data Account Manager is the first point of contact for the customers international compliance and data queries.The candidate will be responsible for manipulating and collating final data submissions under a variety of different country regulations, including but not limited to, waste packaging, waste electrical and electronics (WEEE), waste batteries and textiles. They will quickly develop a good knowledge of the relevant environmental waste compliance regulations, ensuring that all international data obligations are met for accounts and the customer is compliant in all relevant countries. It is important that the candidate is confident with handling large data sets and ensuring data accuracy is to a high standard.Key ResponsibilitiesManage Allocated AccountsProvide excellent levels of customer service as the first point of contactCoordinate customers compliance in other countries, liaising with the relevant compliance schemes/authorities on their behalfAdvise and update allocated accounts on compliance requirements which affect them in relevant countriesEnsure the customers compliance requirements are met at all timesFirst point of contact for phone calls and incoming emails from potential prospectsManagement of Data for Allocated AccountsEnsure that international compliance data is accurate and submitted on timeEnsure data received from customer contains necessary informationBecome an expert in utilising in house software system (EPIC) including data input and analyses of weights informationManipulate data into relevant format for each country/regulationUse various tools to consistently check and improve on the accuracy of international dataUse data skills to provide useful information for accounts such as swings analysis and trendsAttending Sales and Client MeetingsExplaining & selling service to prospective clientsFollowing up all leads and opportunities and attending sales meetingsUndertake research into environmental legislation, developing a comprehensive understanding of the regulationsDevelop and maintain a good understanding of the requirements placed on organisations so that swift and accurate responses can be providedUnderstand legislation in order to manage companies compliance on their behalf and keep them updated with any potential changes which may affect themScheme registrationCompletion of legal documentation, coordinating with various authorities, schemes and the clientMake contact and maintain relationships with foreign compliance schemes/technical third partiesUnderstand compliance requirements (often in multiple countries) and build relationships with key contactsEnsure diplomacy and professionalism to maximise third party relationsMaintain up to date knowledge of EU and non EU regulationsContribute to consistently improving and innovating the International Data ServiceProactively seek out opportunities to make efficiencies and further develop the serviceInspect and advance current proceduresOptimise data automation practicesSkills, Knowledge & ExpertiseExperience and SkillsAdvanced IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel (VBA or other coding knowledge desirable)Ability to quickly take on large quantities of technical informationExcellent planning, scheduling and organization skillsA customer focused approachCollaborative working styleSolution orientated problem solving abilityExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalA knowledge of analysing and manipulating large volumes of data is desirableAn interest in environmental issues is desirableQualificationsEducated to Degree LevelJob BenefitsDual Location / Hybrid worker StatusParticipation in our annual Incentive Plan (VIP) - up to 10% bonusCar Allowance or company car scheme25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, volunteering day and your birthday off!Option to buy and sell up to 9 days annual leaveAccess to voluntary benefits including private medical insurance, cycle to work scheme, and subsidised gym membershipAutomatic inclusion in Life Assurance, Critical Illness and Disability Income protection schemesPension scheme up to 8% employer contributionAccess to reward & discount platformWellbeing initiativesTPBN1_UKTJ
