Senior Pricing AnalystRole OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join a quickly growing and developing pricing department across a range of insurance lines.As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you willuse your advanced analytical skills to:Be a key stakeholder influencing the direction & outcome of projects across a range of personal lines productsCreate innovative data solutions finding new ways to mine insight & present dataBuild and maintain sophisticated models, prioritising a range of data science techniquesDevelop reporting structures to monitor pricing performance in an automated fashionWorkingwith either retail or technical pricing teams and closely with underwriting teams, yourinsight and recommendationswill enable improvements to products and prices giving a critical advantage in the increasingly competitive insurance market.Key Responsibilities:Develop a suite of advanced pricing models using a combination of traditional & data science techniques across Private Car, Commercial Vehicle & Home accountsAdvance the adoption of data science & statistical techniques across pricing & underwritingResearch and leverage new and existing data sources; capturing and explaining trends with innovative data featuresCommunicate results to key decision makers across the business for action based on the results of pricing analysisReview observed & expected performance of key accountsCollaborate with peers in pricing, underwriting and data scienceFacilitate automation of repeatable tasksUsing specialist software to monitor trends and review impact of pricing proposalsCoaching and mentoring team membersKey Skills and Experience:Experience within general insurance pricingExtensive experience with GBMs and Elastic Net GLMsExperience with some of the following predictive modelling techniques preferred; GAMs, Neural Nets and ClusteringExperience in statistical and data science programming languages (e.g. R, Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL)A good quantitative degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science)Proficient in using WTWs Radar softwareProficient at communicating results in a concise manner both verbally and writtenGWV Talent Solutions Limited (trading as Gerrard White Consulting and Vermelo RPO) acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary and contract workers.
