HGV Class 1 Driver

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit several Class 1 Drivers on behalf of our client to join their team in Whitchurch.

Rates:

\n
• £19.00-£22.00 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
\n

The Role:

\n
• Refrigerated vehicle work (HGV Class 1).
\n
• Up to 3 drops and collections per shift.
\n
• Paid induction required prior to starting.
\n
• Nights out optional.
\n
• Days/Nights/ Weekends
\n

Shift Times:

\n
• Day Shifts: Start times between 03:00 08:00.
\n
• Night Shifts: Start times between 16:00 20:00.
\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Complete daily vehicle checks in line with company procedures.
\n
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are carried out safely and professionally.
\n
• Accurately complete all relevant paperwork and hand it in at the end of each shift.
\n
• Provide excellent service and maintain good customer relations.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Must hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence for at least 1 year (insurance requirement).
\n
• Valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
\n
• No points if less than 2 years on Licence (no DR, IN, or DD endorsements).
\n
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
\n
• A safe and responsible driving record.
\n
