Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
Were working with a large pan-European manufacturing business which operates 7 days a week that is actively seeking to add an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Electrician to join its site Manufacturing Engineering Support teams.
\nMultiskilled Maintenance Engineer
\n40 hours per week - Monday to Friday based on Double Day shift 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm
\nParticipation in weekend On Call Rota (approx 1 in 5).
\nLocation: nr Chippenham, Wiltshire
\nSalary: Circa £40,000 (plus on £3800 annual on call allowance)
\nThe positions responsibilities are:
\n- \n
- Reactive Maintenance on automated production machinery \n
- Pre-planned Maintenance (PPM) - Input to and carry out preventive maintenance routines \n
- Mechanical fault finding \n
- Electrical fault finding with and without diagrams (three phase and control systems) \n
- Fault finding and repair on hydraulic or pneumatic systems \n
- Small installation projects \n
- Continuous Improvement to maintain optimal machine efficiency \n
- To keep clean any areas in which you are working, including transit areas to and from the workshop, the workshop and stores \n
- Support the Operations team in achieving targets \n
- Complying to the companys Health and Safety policies and procedures \n
- Contributing to cost effective technical solutions \n
- Deliver to the operational expectations \n
- Be part of a weekend call-out rota \n
To be successful, we would like you to have:
\n- \n
- A recognised industrial Electrical qualification 18th Edition and Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent) is preferred \n
- Have experience working as a Shift Engineer or as a dedicated Electrical or Multiskilled Engineer in a Manufacturing environment. \n
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is critical, print, packaging or related industries would be helpful. \n
- Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills \n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams \n
- Experience with maintenance PPM and RM programmes. \n
- Ideally experience working a buddy system with a Mechanical or Multiskilled Engineer. \n
- Have good communication, organisational and team work skills. \n
- Self motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination. \n
Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.
