Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependent upon experience
Location: Middlesbrough

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a busy and supportive Residential Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional to manage their own caseload while delivering exceptional client service throughout the conveyancing process.

The successful candidate will handle a broad range of residential property matters from instruction through to completion, working closely with clients, estate agents, lenders and other legal professionals to ensure transactions progress efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion.
\n
• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
\n
• Deal with transfers of equity and remortgage transactions.
\n
• Provide clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice to clients.
\n
• Maintain regular communication with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors.
\n
• Ensure matters are progressed efficiently whilst maintaining high standards of client care.
\n
• Meet billing and performance targets where applicable.
\n
• Maintain accurate case management records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal procedures.
\n
• Support business development activities by building and maintaining professional relationships with clients and referrers.
\n

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience managing their own residential conveyancing caseload.
\n
• Strong technical knowledge of residential property transactions.
\n
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
\n
• The ability to explain legal matters clearly and without unnecessary jargon.
\n
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
\n
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
\n
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a wider team.
