Oxford - City Centre | Full/Part time available | £85-£110 per day | September 2026 Start

Are you passionate about supporting young people through challenges and helping them develop the confidence, resilience and skills they need to succeed? This SEMH Mentor opportunity in Oxford - City Centre is ideal for graduates with degrees in psychology, sociology and aspiring professionals looking to gain meaningful experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a specialist education setting.

As an SEMH Mentor you will work closely with pupils who may experience difficulties with emotional regulations, behaviour confidence and engagement in learning. You will provide consistent guidance, encouragement and support, helping young people overcome barriers and build positive relationships with education.

This SEMH Mentor role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Counsellors, Mental Health Practitioner, Teachers and Behaviour Specialist looking to gain practical experience.

The Role

As an SEMH Mentor you will

  • Deliver mentoring sessions and targeted interventions
  • \n
  • Provide 1-1 and small group mentoring support with children with SEMH needs
  • \n
  • Support the creation of a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
  • \n
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with learning
  • \n
  • Help children develop coping strategies and social skills
  • \n
