Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Panel Wirer/ Fitter to join Operations team in an established family-owned business in Leeds. Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology.
\nThe Role
\n- \n
- Your core duties will be the fitting of various types of distribution and power transformers \n
- You will prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials. \n
- You will assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies \n
- You will be expected to maintain the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality ensuring products are produced and delivered OTIF to the customers requirements. \n
- You will check and complete all paperwork associated with the works order \n
- Performance of area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting of problems, shortages or equipment breakdown \n
- Using general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the fitting role \n
- Quality inspection of colleagues output \n
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
\n- \n
- Hands on experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment is essential. \n
- The ability to understand mechanical and schematic drawings. \n
- Mechanical or electrical qualification desirable \n
- Ideally apprentice trained \n
- Have good written and verbal communication skills \n
- Experience of working collaboratively with other operations personnel \n
- Ideally experience of working within a continuous improvement environment \n
- Strong attention to detail \n
- Good communication skills \n
