Job Description
Land Surveyor/ Topographical Surveyor
\nThis challenging and exciting opportunity requires an individual with extensive land /topographical surveying experience working to industry standards. A full UK driving licence and the willingness to travel to sites is essential.
\nDue to the recent award of several long running, complex contracts, our client now wishes to strengthen their operational team with the appointment of an experienced Land Surveyor/Topographical Surveyor. The main purpose of this position is to support the timely and successful delivery of projects in accordance with the contract programme, and without prejudice to the health and safety of employees, sub-contractors and the public, whilst also taking into full account all environmental considerations. Data interpretation, processing and management experience is key for this position.
\nThe Role
\nVerify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted on site
\nCalculate heights, depths, relative positions, lines, and other characteristics of terrain to produce accurate volumetric information
\nPrepare and process data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys
\nInterpret survey data to determine positions and elevations
\nProcessing data from site surveys for modelling and client reports
\nCarry out the surveys and as-builts using complex equipment (Trimble, Total Stations, GPS)
\nSupporting various teams and projects by establishing control on site
\nLiteracy with industry related software (AutoCAD 3D, Cyclone and N4CE for example)
\nThe Person
\nA relevant qualification in Surveying or equivalent work experience
\nProven expertise as a Land or Topographical Surveyor
\nProficiency in using surveying equipment such as Total Stations or mobile laser scanning
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
\nDemonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
\nValid full UK driving license and willingness to work on site as required.
\nYou must have the right to work in the UK (no visa / sponsorship is available)
\nAn instinct for establishing safe and productive project processes
