The Role\nThe company is looking for an experienced Gates & Barriers Service Engineer to join its growing team based in Bredbury, Stockport.
\nThis is a field-based role involving the servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of automated gates, barriers, bollards, and access control systems. The successful candidate will be a hands-on engineer who can work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Service, maintain and repair automated gates, barriers, bollards, and access control systems. \n
- Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical, and automation faults. \n
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM). \n
- Respond to breakdown call-outs and complete repairs efficiently in normal working hours. \n
- Replace motors, control panels, safety devices, photocells, intercoms, and associated components. \n
- Complete service reports and job documentation accurately. \n
- Ensure all work complies with current health and safety legislation and industry standards. \n
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the company professionally. \n
- Maintain to a good standard tools, equipment and vehicle. \n
- \n
- Previous experience servicing and repairing automated gates, barriers, or access control systems is essential. \n
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. \n
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively. \n
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential). \n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills. \n
- Candidates with their own hand tools are preferred. \n
- Willingness to work overtime if and when required. \n
