Job Description

To safely and efficiently operate LGV1 bulk tanker and curtain side vehicles to transport goods between company sites, customer locations, and distribution points. The role ensures the timely delivery and collection of products, compliance with all transport legislation, and the highest standards of vehicle safety, customer service, and documentation accuracy.
\n Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Location: Silloth
Salary: Competitive + overtime earning + elevated rates depending on start time

Hours: The Shift pattern for this role is: Monday to Friday day shifts. 48 hours per week.

The role:

    \n
  • Completion of daily checks in line with EU Legislation and the Company procedures
  • \n
  • Safe and legal driving and operation of company Heavy Goods Vehicles and equipment, in line with the Highway Code and all Company operating procedures
  • \n
  • Upholding the good repute of the Company by ensuring that a positive, polite and hygienic image is always given to both Customers and members of the public
  • \n
  • Accurate record keeping for deliveries and legal compliance in line with EU Legislation and Company procedures, including driver tachograph regulations and working time regulations.
  • \n
  • Ensuring that each load is both legal and secure
  • \n
  • Contribute to the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicles, for example sweeping out, washing and brushing.

About you:

    \n
  • Category C+E Licence holder for a minimum of 2 years driving experience
  • \n
  • Digital Tachograph Driver Smart Card
  • \n
  • Driver CPC Qualification Card
  • \n
  • Good time keeping
  • \n
  • The ability to remain calm and professional when under pressure
  • \n
  • Reliable & flexible.
  • \n
  • Excellent customer service
  • \n
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for the job
  • \n
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
  • \n

Desirable experience:

  • Bulk tanker and tipping experience
  • \n
  • Pump truck & Tail lift, Training will be given.
  • \n
